The Amarnath Yatra is only open for two months each year, beginning the last week of June and ending on Raksha Bandhan, the full moon day of Sawan month. The greatest time to see the entire Shivling is during the month of July, if we think about that.

The best time to visit Amarnath is from June to Aug.

Trekking and religious activities are made comfortable by the region’s generally mild temperatures during these months, which range from about 10°C to 25°C.
