Overview

The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most well-known holy locations and circuits visited by pilgrims in Uttarakhand. This Yatra, or pilgrimage, takes you to four holy locations in the Himalayas: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.

Itinerary

Delhi - Haridwar (230 Km / 6 to 7 hrs)

Arrive in New Delhi and we’ll drive to Haridwar. Check into your hotel in Haridwar when you arrive. In the evening, head to Har Ki Pauri to witness Ganga Aarti on the banks of the Ganges. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Haridwar - Barkot (179kms/6-7Hrs. Drive)

Depart this morning for Barkot, which is located at the base of Yamunotri. Check in at your hotel or camp. The rest of the day is free to unwind and prepare for the Yamunotri Pahad (Hill) Yatra the next day. Dinner and an overnight stay in Barkot are included. Stay the night in Barkot.

Barkot-Yamunotri-Barkot (34Kms by Road & 06 Kms Trek)

Drive to Jankichatti/Phoolchatti and begin your walk to Yamunotri (6 kilometers). Either by foot, horseback, or Doli at your own expense. Arr. Yamunotri, rice can be cooked by wrapping it in a cloth and immersing it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice with them as Prasad. After bathing in Jamunabai-Kund’s warm water and having Darshan of saintly Yamunaji and returning to Jankichatti, Pooja can be done to Divya-Shila here near the temple. Drive back to Barkot later. Stay at Barkot for the night.

Barkot - Maneri (104 Km / 03 Hrs. Drive)

Proceed to Maneri. Check into your hotel and then visit Vishwanath Temple in the evening. Lord Vishwanath’s temple is placed here, and a large iron trident is erected. Stay at Maneri for the night.

Maneri- Gangotri- Maneri (83 Kms/02 Hrs. Drive)

We proceed to Gangotri (3048 m), passing via lovely Harsil hamlet, the Bhagirathi River, and the most magnificent Himalayan views. We return to Uttarkashi after Gangotri Darshan. Stay the night in Maneri.

Maneri-Guptkashi (Nala) (214 Kms/7-8 Hrs. Drive)

Drive straight to Guptkashi. En route, you may observe the lovely Mandakini River in Tilwara. The Mandakini River flows from Kedarnath; drive alongside the river to reach Guptakashi. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. Overnight stay at the Hotel Guptkashi.

Guptkashi- Kedarnath (30Kms.Drive / 20 Kms. Trek One Side)

Drive to Sonprayag in the morning. Trek from Sonprayag to Kedarnath (3584 mts) on foot or by pony/Doli. Tour members should bring personal medicines, thick woolen, toiletries, and clothes for an overnight stay. Check into your hotel/camp/dormitory. Kedarnath is where you’ll spend the night.

Kedarnath- Gaurikund- Sonprayag/Sitapur (22 Kms. Trek)

Early morning you get up before dawn and after taking bath you are at the temple by by 4:45 a.m. for the Abhishek’ to Kedarnath Shiva. Anyone is welcome to enter Garbha-Griha and touch the idol. You can also prostrate by touching your head to the deity, for example. You leave the temple after darshan and puja and return to the Govt. Camps / Lodges. You’ll then begin the 20-kilometer return walk from Kedarnath to Guarikund. Where to obtain a sharing taxi to Sonprayag. You will be driven to your hotel from Sonprayag Car Parking. Spend the night in Sonprayag/Sitapur.

Sonprayag/Sitapur- Joshimath (186Kms/ 6-7 Hrs. Drive)

Proceed to Badrinath via Joshimath and check into your hotel. Later in the evening, Visit to Badrinath. Stay at a hotel in Joshimath for the night.

Joshimath- Badrinath- Srinagar (164Kms. / 07 Hrs. Drive)

Early morning post breakfast, we will drive to Badrinath. Badrinath: one of the ‘Four Dhams’ is one of the most prominent pilgrimage sites in the country, located at an elevation of 3,133 meters and bordered on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar and Narayan, with the majestic Neelkanth Peak providing a magnificent backdrop. This sacred location was previously carpeted in wild berries. As a result, the area was given the name Badrivan, which means “forest of berries.” Stay in a hotel in Srinagar for the night.

Srinagar- Rishikesh Sightseeing (137Kms. / 07 Hrs. Drive)

Early morning, Post breakfast, you proceed downhill to Rishikesh a spiritual city and the Yoga capital of the world. en-route will visit Rishikesh Temples Sight Seeing – Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla., on arrival check in at hotel, Overnight stay at hotel Rishikesh.

Rishikesh- Delhi (225 Kms. / 5- 6 Hrs. Drive)

Breakfast at the hotel, and you’re on your final lap of the adventure. Transfer to the Railway Station and Airport upon arrival in Delhi.
